Final Fantasy...on a budget!

I forgot that I owned this blog...

Well, since I do...^-^

We have decided that we are going to cosplay Final FAntasy next year after the Tokyo Mew Mew project went relatively well.

Well, we've begun pricing it. T-T

This is always upsetting, expecially since my course load only allows me to work a summer job and the other girls are struggling to find jobs with one of them still in high school. And the fact that we have become cosplay perfectionists hasn't helped at all.

I'm going to be creating four costumes this round, all of which will lead up to the most epic skit of all time (Not really, but we can try).

So...in order of construction:

Yuffie, Final Fantasy: Advent Children

Lulu, Final Fantasy X and X-2

Squall, VIII SeeD Uniform

For myself, I will be undertaking Project Lightning (Lightning Farron, Final Fantasy XIII) which will be the single easiest hard thing I have ever done in my life.

Our budget per costume has been set at $100-$200 a piece, the wigs being the most pressing issue. We're hoping to spend roughly $100 on the actual costume and use the rest of the budget for a wig.

Will we make it? Probably not to our OCD requirements, but we can try. -.^

Progress

I'm currently working on two costumes right now...three if you count the one commission that I am making.

The order of difficulty to the projects:

~Hizaki inspired Visual Kei dress (Versailles band)

~Mew Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew (Commission)

~ Mew Zakuro from Tokyo Mew Mew

So far, I have the top to Hizaki's dress almost done and I'm working desperately on Zakuros...Ichigo is waiting on the customer to pay me. The reason it is going to be above the Zakuro costume, even though I have a pattern from it which should make it relatively easier, is that I don't have the girl with me constantly so I can't fit her...but I guess that's how it goes.
